Description:
“Practice Half Understanding” is a video installation accompanied by 56 photos, exploring connections between Che’s family members and friends in Taiwan and the shared spaces where they spent time together. Initially presented as an artist’s book, the video installation offers a more intimate, immersive experience that draws viewers into a dreamlike flow of wandering. Memories of walking and traveling on the road presented as images convey the shifting sentiments Che has experienced over the years. The work examines how partial understanding can serve as a gateway to deeper connections between fleeting moments and the meanings that were not obvious at the time.
